(American 1865-1936) Eugene initially trained to be a painter, became one of the original thirteen founding members of the Photo-Secession. He was also a member of the Linked Ring and his work was published in both Camera Notes and Camera Work. He was widely respected not only as a photographer but also as a teacher of photography.
