Greg has been inspired by numerous photographers including Diane Arbus, Sally Mann, Walker Evans, Irving Penn, Nan Goldin, and Richard Avedon. He has also been inspired by the works of painters Lucian Freud, Egon Schiele, and Jenny Saville.

He is an artist who is fascinated by identity, existence, and how people fit into society. His portraits attempt to unmask his subjects of their veneer and capture the rawness of their humanity on the page.

Greg has been widely covered by the media. He was featured in an hour-long documentary for Channel 5 in Great Britain on the making of Naked London. His work has been featured in countless magazines and newspapers including among others The Washington Post, The London Times, British GQ, The Los Angeles Times Magazine, The New York Observer, The Face, The Village Voice, and Time Out- Paris, London, and New York.

His work has also been included in over ten anthologies around the world including: Nerve, Paper, The New Nude, Exposed, Self Exposure, Naked Women and The World’s Top Photographers: Nudes.

The trailer for the film Stripped (a film on Greg’s journey in shooting Naked Las Vegas) may be viewed at: http://www.strippedthefilm.com. Stripped: Greg Friedler’s Naked Las Vegas will air in March 2010 on Showtime.
