(Italian, active 1870-1900) Ongania was an editor and publisher. In the 1890’s , Ongania issued a two volume work entitled “Calli e Canali in Venezia” (Streets and Canals in Venice) with one hundred extremely fine photogravure images that illustrate the city as well as the life and work of its inhabitants.
