(American, active early 20th century) Little is known about this interesting turn of the century photographer. Schenk made photographic studies to be used by artists and illustrators. He published “Draperies In Action” in 1902, a very rare and important series of collotype plates of draped female nudes continuing the tradition of motion and figure studies of Muybridge. He also did a series of photographic studies of womens hands in the act of doing domestic chores.
